Brontë Naylor is an artist whose skills span across both gallery, large-scale painting and public work. With dedication and energy, she’s been consistently honing her craft since 2010. During 2015 in Far North Queensland she completed her Bachelor degree in Creative Industries, majoring in Visual Art. Naylor has now returned to Toowoomba to continue developing a professional career as a full time artist, creating from her workspace at Kontraband Studios.
Her work discusses the idea of memories and how they can be altered or tainted through perception. Through fragmented and colour washed imagery, Naylor reconstructs collective and personal memories, using varying degrees of distortion. She plays with the parallel memory of what we know as familiar and unfamiliar.
