First Coat Lockyer Valley

Regional Activation

First Coat Lockyer Valley is a three artist regional activation through public art. Australian artists; Bronte Naylor (Toowoomba), Claire Foxton (Wollongong) and George Rose (Melbourne) will produce their signature mural work for the CBD of Gatton, QLD.

Visit the Lockyer Valley to watch three large-scale public artworks come to life. The project launches on Thursday evening of the 29th June with a community event and an opportunity to meet the artists. Artists will paint over three days, with each presenting an artist talk on Saturday 1st July.

Join us in celebrating the project launch with an opportunity to meet the artists on Thursday 29 July 2017, 5 - 7pm at Centenary Gardens - North Street, Gatton. Food and drinks available to purchase.


Talks
Hear first hand from the artists about their mural work as it's created. Join First Coat Curator, Grace Dewar for a three stop tour of the mural sites, beginning at 3pm on Saturday 1st July in Centenary Gardens - North Street, Gatton.  The talks will be followed by food, drinks and entertainment in the park from 4pm.
